The fact that Hydropothecary is currently Quebec’s only licensed producer is something that both the company and its surrounding communities are proud of.
Earlier this month our Ottawa location was lucky to have been invited for a facility tour from the ever growing, Quebec Licensed Producer, Hydropothecary. The NAC staff, along with a handful of selected members, had the privilege of observing some of the many stages of the medical cannabis life cycle from seed to sale.
Nestled on 65 acres in a quiet and cozy peninsula, bordered by the Ottawa river on one side and the Lievre river on the other, the history of this land’s past ventures and acknowledgements are worthy of a story all in it’s own. Once the location of the award winning botanical growers BOTANIX, the same passion and dedication is now implemented into the process of cultivating medical cannabis. One aspect of this guarantee is the fact that generations from the previous business now maintain the day to day structure and are still completely hands on in this new avenue of opportunity.
As we were shown many different strains at opposing flowering stages, the one continuous factor shown was attention to detail. Whether it was from the hand clipped buds or the hand watering of plants in certain stages, the focus and love was shown throughout our entire time there.
While we first entered the current 7000 square foot greenhouse, all of the bodies senses were kicked into overdrive. One could not imagine that just a couple hundred feet away, we would be visiting shortly the soon to be completed 36,000 square foot greenhouse where the real sense of “WOW” would happen even without our senses no longer in overdrive. The sheer size was incredible and every nook and cranny was completely up to Hydropothecary’s Director of Quality Assurance’s grueling standards. Once this facility is up and running in the near future, Hydropothecary members can rest assured that unlike some current LP issues, supply and demand should not be an issue.
The fact that Hydropothecary is currently Quebec’s only licensed producer is something that both the company and its surrounding communities are proud of. A small sign of that is their current 24/7 bilingual available ordering and customer service offerings. We had an amazing time and learned so much about the personalized care and dedication that the growers, staff and company as a whole puts into each and every order.
